WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - The Wood-Ridge Board of Education honored the December 2024 Students of the Month at its meeting on Monday night in the high school auditorium.
Each school administrator announced the student honorees from their building and posed for photos with the students for their parents.
Catherine E. Doyle School students were presented by Principal Lara Schmitt:
Kindergarten- Hayden Calderio
1st grade: Natalie Oszustowicz
2nd grade: Maya Hamid
3rd grade: Audra Broglie
This year, the Doyle staff has broadened the categories for student nominations to create a more inclusive recognition program. For December, Doyle School focused on their student-musicians.
Wood-Ridge Intermediate School students were presented by Interim Principal Rosemary Giacomelli:
4th grade: Adem Sirka
5th grade: Dhovvan Rodriquez
6th grade: Kenneth Kreiser
WRIS's December honorees were nominated for their focus on STEM and selected by Dr. Tsvetkova, the school Art and STEM teacher. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is an umbrella term used to group together the distinct but related technical disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Wood-Ridge Junior/Senior High School students were presented by Principal Silvia Raguseo-Ruiz:
7th grade: Ava Baker
8th grade: Serena Chern
9th grade: Natalia Nieves
10th grade: Jack Caprio
11th grade: Chase Lopresti
12th grade: Nico Altamura
